MAPA Announces Selection Process with Hundreds of Jobs Available for All Education Levels, from Elementary to Higher Education.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (MAPA) has a new selection process open with 316 job vacancies aimed at the hiring of professionals with elementary, medium/technical, and higher education in various positions. The organization responsible for the selection process is the Verbena Institute.
List of Job Vacancies Available in the Selection Process of the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (MAPA)
A total of 79 job vacancies for immediate hiring at MAPA are being offered, in addition to 237 for the formation of a reserve list. Of this total, 20 opportunities are for elementary level positions, 20 for medium or technical level positions, and 39 for higher education careers:
Elementary Level
Laboratory Assistant – 20 vacancies: Responsible for preparing solutions and measuring equipment and tests and analyzing samples of inputs and raw materials. Clean instruments and devices and collect samples to ensure greater work efficiency.

Medium/Technical Level
Laboratory Technician – 20 vacancies: Responsible for collecting, analyzing, and recording materials and substances through specific methods. Assist in teaching, research, and extension activities, prepare reagents, parts, and other materials used in experiments, among others.
Complete Higher Education
Pharmacist – 19 vacancies: Responsible for researching and developing processes for the production of medicines, foods, and cosmetics, conducting physical-chemical and microbiological analyses for quality control and overseeing product registration in accordance with sanitary regulations.
Chemist – 20 vacancies: Responsible for conducting tests, chemical and physical-chemical analyses, and selecting methodologies, reagents, materials, and sampling criteria to issue analysis reports and develop technical reports.
How to Apply for the MAPA Selection Process
Those interested in participating in the selection process of the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (MAPA) have from November 8 to 17, 2023, to register for the competition. The registration form must be filled out directly on the Verbena Institute’s website.
The registration fee ranges from R$ 80 to R$ 110 depending on the position desired by the candidate. Candidates who are unemployed or registered in the Cadastro Único for Social Programs of the Federal Government CadÚnico can request an exemption from the registration fee.
To do this, it is necessary to access the Verbena Institute’s website by November 10 of this year and fill out the waiver request form. The entity responsible for the selection process will verify the accuracy of the data provided by the candidate in relation to the management agency of CadÚnico for the purpose of confirming the exemption request.
The information contained in the registration form is the sole responsibility of the candidate, including any errors, inaccuracies, or omissions.
Stages of the Selection Process and Salaries
The selection process for the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock will include an objective test of eliminatory and classificatory nature for all positions and a title evaluation of classificatory nature only for some positions. The objective test is scheduled to be held on December 10 of this year.
The elementary level positions offer salaries of R$ 4,000 for a 40-hour workweek. For the medium/technical position, the salary is R$ 5,500 for a 40-hour workweek. The salary for higher education positions is R$ 6,130 for a 40-hour workweek.
