The Compact SUVs Battle Gets a New Contender: Mitsubishi XForce Aims to Tear Up the Ground and Face Off Against T-Cross, Creta, and Tracker
The talk is straightforward: in 2024, the compact SUV market is going to heat up with the arrival of the Mitsubishi XForce, the newest “toy” from the automaker.
The vehicle comes with the mission of competing with heavyweights like Volkswagen T-Cross, Hyundai Creta, and Chevrolet Tracker. And let me tell you, it promises to be a fierce battle!
The timing of the XForce launch couldn’t be better. The debut of this car coincides with the arrival of the Toyota Yaris Cross in Brazil. Both models were designed to steal the spotlight in the compact SUV segment, and this coincidence adds more spice to the competition.

What’s Under the Hood?
The XForce is no “little bakery chicken.” With a length of 4.39 meters and a wheelbase of 2.64 meters, this SUV is the largest in its category. Under the hood, a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated engine with 103 horsepower and 14.3 kgfm of torque, paired with a CVT automatic transmission that simulates up to eight speeds.
Mitsubishi has still kept some mystery regarding a 4×4 version, but details are scarce. Mitsubishi is not joking around when it comes to off-road.
The XForce is ready to tackle dirt roads and face mud without hesitation. With 22 cm of ground clearance and various driving modes, this SUV is set to perform well on any terrain.
Design, Finish, and Cutting-Edge Technology
Visually, the XForce is a feast for the eyes. LED headlights shaped like an ‘L’, a robust bumper, and a grille that gives a three-dimensional look to the car.
It’s Mitsubishi all around! Inside, the story is no different: first-class finish, varied upholstery, and space to comfortably fit up to five adults.
The model is also packed with tech perks. The highlight is the Multimedia Center with a 12.3-inch display, offering everything from a 360º camera system to connectivity with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Price of the Mitsubishi XForce
In Japan, the suggested price of the XForce is around R$ 127,500. But, as we know well, Brazil is not for amateurs. With taxes and fees, the price is expected to be around R$ 160,000 for the entry-level versions and R$ 200,000 for the hybrid 4×4 versions.
The question that remains is: does the XForce have what it takes to face the competitors and win a place in the hearts of Brazilians? Only time will tell. But one thing is certain: Mitsubishi is putting all its cards on the table to make this launch a resounding success.
So, what do you think? Will the Mitsubishi XForce make a splash in this highly competitive market? The battle is sure to be good!
