The company announced a colossal investment of R$ 730 million for the acquisition of the Ontex factory in Senador Canedo, in the vicinity of Goiânia.

Even with the ongoing authorization from the Administrative Council for Economic Defense, expectations are much higher. Softys plans to invest in a true revolution, expanding the unit and bringing in modern machines to the game, increasing the capacity of what was already good before.

Currently, this unit already generates about 1,400 jobs in the region. However, with the upcoming changes, this number is expected to grow considerably. Just imagine how many new opportunities will arise for the local community!

In 2021, the company had already incorporated the former unit of Carta Fabril in Anápolis, which is dedicated to the production of paper and supplies large chains like McDonald’s.

This Ontex transaction with Softys is expected to be completed in the first half of 2025, with operations starting soon after.
