Multinational Lactalis Will Invest R$ 291 Million in Uberlândia, Expanding Cheese and Butter Production, Creating 200 Jobs by 2027.

Lactalis Brasil, one of the global leaders in the dairy sector, announced a significant investment of R$ 291 million in Uberlândia, a city located in the Triângulo Mineiro. The project aims to build a new production plant and expand the production line for cheese and butter. With this expansion, Lactalis Brasil expects to create 200 new jobs by 2027, reinforcing its commitment to the local economy and the productive sector.

Investment and Expansion of Cheese and Butter Production

Lactalis Brasil’s investment will be directed towards the construction of a new plant specialized in the production of sandwich cheese, with a processing capacity of 1,000 tons per month.

Additionally, the expansion of the butter production line is also in the plans, increasing the capacity from 3,600 tons per year to 10,000 tons per year.

This investment aims not only at increasing production but also at diversifying the products offered by Lactalis Brasil in Uberlândia.

The CEO of Lactalis Brasil, Roosevelt Júnior, commented on the importance of this strategic location, highlighting that the city of Uberlândia is located in an area with great dairy production capacity.

According to him, “we are in the middle of a region with great dairy production capacity. Being close to the producer ensures that we have the product and, therefore, we can have a direct relationship with the producers.”

This proximity to local producers is essential to ensure the quality and continuous supply of Lactalis Brasil’s factories.

Job Creation and Professional Training

The announcement of another significant investment by Lactalis Brasil in Uberlândia also involves the creation of new job vacancies.

With the expansion of the plant and the increase in the production of cheese and butter, Lactalis Brasil expects to generate 200 new job vacancies by 2027.

In addition, the company also plans training actions for cheesemaking professionals and to encourage dairy production, directly contributing to the strengthening of the local economy.

The mayor of Uberlândia, Paulo Sérgio (PP), highlighted the importance of this investment for the municipality.

“We have numerous goals outlined to promote the development of our economy, among which is fostering new enterprises. Lactalis already operates with the production of cheese and butter in the city, and now this production will be expanded and diversified,” the mayor stated, emphasizing that, with this investment, the city will have more than R$ 2 billion in private investments by 2025.

Lactalis Brasil remains committed to Brazil’s economic development and the generation of new job opportunities, strengthening the dairy sector and contributing to the quality of life of consumers and communities where it operates.

With the new investment in Uberlândia, Lactalis Brasil reaffirms its position in the dairy sector, investing in innovation and growth for the future.
