With this, SIATT significantly expands its industrial capacity and reinforces its role in providing advanced solutions for the Brazilian Armed Forces and for international projects as well.
The opening ceremony featured prominent figures. Present were the CEO and General Director of EDGE Group, Hamad Al Marar, along with leaders from the holding company. Also participating were the Vice Governor of São Paulo, Felício Ramuth, the Commander of the Navy, Admiral Marcos Sampaio Olsen, the Commander of the Marine Corps, Carlos Chagas, and the Mayor of São José dos Campos, Anderson Farias.
During the event, Al Marar emphasized, “This was our first investment in Brazil, in 2023, and since then we have advanced from a research and development plant to a robust industrial facility. This reflects SIATT’s commitment to strengthening Brazil’s technological autonomy and generating long-term value for its defense base.”
With the new unit, the expectation is to create 200 direct jobs and approximately 600 indirect jobs. This activity is expected to boost the local economy and strengthen São José dos Campos’ position as a strategic center for the defense industry in the country.
History of SIATT and Strategic Programs
Founded in 2015, SIATT specializes in the development and integration of high-complexity defense systems including missiles, armaments, and embedded solutions. Among its most notable projects are the anti-ship missile Mansup, its long-range version Mansup-ER, and the precision anti-tank system Max 1.2 AC.
EDGE Group, a conglomerate from the United Arab Emirates, acquired 50% of SIATT in September 2023. The partnership accelerated the company’s export capacity and strengthened its role as a strategic partner not only for the Brazilian Armed Forces but also for projects on a global scale.
