The Announcement Of The New Competition Has Not Been Released Yet, But The Expectation Is That 600 Vacancies Will Be Offered At The Secondary Level

The highly anticipated announcement for the competition of the State Department of Justice of Espírito Santo (Sejus ES) for the position of prison inspector (penal police) is expected to be published soon. According to information released by Serra Empregos, from Jornal Tempo Novo, the document should be available by August.

Initially, the expectation was that the announcement would be published by June, as stated by the Secretary of Justice of Espírito Santo, André Garcia, on his social media. However, the deadline was not met and the announcement has still not been made available.

The Sejus Vacancy Competition

The announcement of the Sejus ES competition may offer 600 immediate vacancies for the position of prison inspector, in addition to a reserve list for candidates. The competition will also have reserved slots for people with disabilities, black individuals, and indigenous people. The requirements for entering the career include a completed secondary education, a minimum age of 18, and possession of a National Driver’s License (CNH) in categories B, C, D, or E.

The initial salary for the position, according to the possible announcement, is R$3,107.65, plus a food allowance of R$300, for a 40-hour workweek. After appointment, the employee will have the opportunity to choose their assignment, observing the classification order and availability of vacancies.

The Brazilian Institute of Support and Executive Development (Ibade) has been hired as the organizer of the competition. It will be responsible for receiving candidates’ applications and conducting the stages of the competition, including the objective tests. All information will be available in the announcement, which will be released soon.

Competition Tests

The structure of the Sejus ES competition tests has already been defined according to the basic project of the competition, according to previous announcements. There will be six stages, including: objective and essay tests, physical aptitude test, health examination, psychological evaluation, social investigation, and training course.

The objective tests, according to the previous announcement, will consist of 60 questions, 35 of General Knowledge and 25 of Specific Knowledge. The subjects covered include Portuguese Language, Computer Science, Logical Reasoning, Current Events, Human Rights, Administrative Law, Criminal Law, and Criminal Procedure. In addition, the essay test will be conducted on a topic provided at the time of the exam, being graded only for candidates who achieve a minimum score of 60% of the points assigned to the objective test.

The Last Sejus Competition

It is worth noting that, according to the last announcement, the previous competition of the Department of Justice for permanent staff occurred in 2012, with the opening of 500 vacancies, being 250 for escort and prison surveillance agents and 250 for prison agents. Now, with the new competition on the horizon, interested candidates will have a new opportunity to enter the career and contribute to the safety and order in the prison facilities of Espírito Santo.

Remember that the announcement has not yet been released and specific information such as dates and deadlines will only be available in it. Stay tuned for the announcement’s release!
