The Candidate of the Itaú Trainee Program Will Be Able to Follow the Retail and Wholesale Business Tracks

Itaú bank is accepting applications for its trainee program. The program will last a total of up to 18 months, and the candidate can choose between the Retail and Wholesale Business tracks, developing diverse knowledge through training, rotations, and immersions in various areas while participating in real and challenging business projects of Itaú.

Throughout the period, the candidate will receive mentorship from bank executives, as well as practical experiences that will support their career development, in addition to other benefits. The program will cover topics such as Financial Market, Technology, Agile Methodologies, Culture and Diversity, Emotional Intelligence.

Retail Business

The retail sector is the app in the palm of your hand, the cards, and the branches spread across the country. The retail trainee will have a 360° view of the businesses within the segment, including immersion in the strategic business structures, communities, and commercial hubs, closely following the customer journey, and being responsible for planning, creating, and managing the solutions offered to millions of customers through physical and digital channels.

Wholesale Business

Our Wholesale structure is made up of three major segments: WMS (Wealth Management and Services), Itaú BBA, and Global Markets & Treasury and Latam.

In Wealth Management and Services, the bank is responsible for the investment journey of clients, looking at both proprietary and third-party asset management. At Itaú BBA, Brazil’s largest wholesale and investment bank, it serves medium and large companies across all sectors, including Agribusiness. In Global Markets & Treasury and Latam, the bank connects the market with our clients, focusing on market risk management for all products offered by the bank to its clients, through Institutional Treasury, which also has a global presence, with treasuries in Latin America, the USA, and Europe.

To apply for the Itaú trainee program, it is necessary to be enrolled in a bachelor’s or degree program of long duration, graduating between December 2020 and July 2024; Availability to work 8 hours a day; Availability for in-person work in São Paulo – if the candidate is outside SP, they will receive a stipend equivalent to 1 salary for their convenience and relocation organization, if necessary; For the Wholesale Business Track, advanced English is required.

The Itaú trainee program offers benefits such as a salary of R$ 8,000; Meals; Food Allowance; Transportation Allowance; Health and dental assistance; Private pension plan; Extended maternity leave + Childcare/Babysitting assistance – children up to 71 months old; Gym partnerships (Gympass and Totalpass); Support for language courses, among others.

The selection process for the Itaú trainee program will consist of five stages, which are:

  • Applications – 03/08/22 to 05/09/22;
  • Online tests – 09/09/22 to 20/09/22: Profile and skills assessments for both tracks and English assessments for the Wholesale Track;
  • Itaú Challenge – October 2022: The candidate will solve a super strategic case in a group and present it to the Itaú HR team;
  • Itaú Immersion – November 2022: The candidate will face a real business challenge in a group and present it to bank managers;
  • Final interview – November and December 2022: Individual moment with directors for the bank to learn more about the candidate’s story.
