Want To Live In Luxembourg? Discover How To Obtain Visas And Permits To Reside In The Richest Country In The World, With Salaries Of Up To R$ 37,000 And Free Public Transportation

This European territory is not very popular, but it has one of the best qualities of life in the world. A beautiful European country presents itself as an ideal option for emigrating, as it offers exceptional conditions for those wishing to move. The International Monetary Fund (IMF) ranked it as the richest nation in the world in 2023, and its job opportunities are immense, allowing for salaries of up to R$ 37,000.

Moving abroad is a decision as desired as it is complex. Seeking a better lifestyle in terms of security and economy implies analyzing various variables. However, this European territory offers conditions such as free public transportation, making it an excellent alternative.

Why Luxembourg?

Luxembourg was not only chosen by the IMF as the richest country in the world due to the influence of banks and capital funds based in its territory, but it was also ranked as the best place to have a remote job, according to a report by Brother.

Additionally, a report from DadosMacro analyzed that the average salary in this nation reaches R$ 375,000 annually, which is over R$ 31,000 per month. Furthermore, all means of transportation (buses, trains, and trams) are free throughout the territory, both in cities and for traveling from one region to another.

It is important to highlight that this country has a population of only 650,000 inhabitants, which increases job opportunities. However, one of the main obstacles is the residence permit, as EU citizenship or a special visa is required.

Permits Necessary To Live In Luxembourg

For citizens with European community passports, as well as for people from Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Switzerland, emigrating to Luxembourg allows them to stay for 90 days and obtain a simple residence permit. However, for other nations, such as Argentina, one of the following documents is required:

Short Stay Visa (Type C)

This document allows visitors to stay in the Schengen Area for up to 90 days, either continuously or intermittently. It is ideal for short trips, such as business, conferences, or Work and Travel.

Long Stay Visa (Type D)

This documentation is necessary for those who wish to stay in Luxembourg for more than three months for work, education, or family reunification purposes. This type of visa is common among salaried employees, self-employed individuals, highly skilled workers, and students.

EU Blue Card

This document is intended for those seeking to work in Luxembourg as highly skilled employees for a period exceeding three months. This card offers several benefits and requires a specialized application process.

Location And Highlights Of Luxembourg

Located between Belgium, France, and Germany, Luxembourg is the seventh smallest nation in Europe and the 167th in the world. This country is the largest banking center in the world, with over 1,000 investment funds and 200 banks, according to the BBC.

One of the main complications is the language, as only French, German, or Luxembourgish are spoken. However, there are other advantages, such as great job stability and an average annual inflation rate below 4%.
