This Unit Will Serve the Campos Basin in State Contracts, Part of the Operational Crew of the OOS Tiradentes Will Be Based in Brazil

[supsystic-social-sharing id=’1′]The OOS Tiradentes will depart from Yantai, China, in early February heading to Brazil for operations on demand from Petrobras. It is a Floatel type unit that will support national post-salt operations. This offshore unit will be operational by the end of March and part of the crew made up of hospitality professionals, seafarers, technicians, and engineers will consist of Brazilians.

The OOS Tiradentes has operational devices with electric winches that can handle loads between two and sixty tons. Interestingly, it can accommodate 600 people at once during maintenance and installation activities. It also has the capacity to dynamically position itself, which is useful when needing to “dock” very close to other units, whether they are fixed or floating.

In fact, here in Brazil, we already have two similar units in operation and full activities: The OOS Gretha and the OOS Prometheus. OOS International (company name) already has a contract to add two more units to the fleet in 2019: The OOS Serooskerke and OOS Walcheren.

The cards are on the table, and opportunities have begun to appear significantly, with Petrobras’ new phase of financial restructuring. For better or worse, there’s an organization in the sector. As soon as it arrives in Brazil and the official hiring contacts are announced, Click Petróleo e Gás will notify all of you or update this post, so it’s important to enable site notifications.
