Federal University of Pará Opens Selection Process to Fill Visiting Professor Position in Psychology, with Salary Up to R$ 22 Thousand.

The Federal University of Pará (UFPA) is accepting applications for a new public selection process, aiming to fill a job vacancy for a visiting professor in the field of Psychoanalysis. The position is for the Institute of Philosophy and Human Sciences, specifically in the Graduate Program in Psychology. Requirements for the Visiting Professor Position

To compete for the job, candidates must hold a doctorate for at least two years.

Additionally, it is necessary to demonstrate relevant academic production, particularly in the last four years.

The Federal University requires candidates for the position to present a consistent scientific production, according to the criteria established by the CNPq Area Committee.

Another important requirement for the position is prior experience in teaching activities, as well as in technical-professional and administrative functions in the academic environment.

The selection process will be based on the evaluation of the Lattes Curriculum, considering the following activity groups: Academic Training, Scientific Production, Teaching Activities, and Technical-Professional Activities.

Evaluation Stages of the Federal University Selection Process

The selection process of the Federal University of Pará will be divided into four activity groups.

Each group will be analyzed in detail to assess the qualifications of the candidate for the visiting professor job:

Academic Training: Analysis of the degrees and titles obtained by the candidate.
Scientific Production: The evaluation will consider academic publications and other works produced in the last five years.
Teaching Activities: The candidate’s experience as a teacher, their pedagogical practices, and their contribution to the training of new professionals.
Technical-Professional Activities: Evaluation of practical experiences in academic and administrative functions.

Based on these categories, the responsible commission will choose the most qualified professor to occupy the visiting professor position at the Federal University of Pará.

Validity of the Selection Process

The validity period of the selection process will be one year from the date of its approval in the Official Gazette of the Union (D.O.U.), which may be extended for an equal period.
