Course Structure
The course content is delivered by instructors specialized in the By Necessity methodology, created by Besouro de Fomento Social, a partner of Gerdau in the project. This methodology is adapted to the reality of small entrepreneurs and revisits the traditional business plan model, facilitating application for smaller enterprises. The classes cover:
- Product/Service Conceptualization: defining the purpose and values of the business.
- Marketing and Communication: communication strategies to reach customers.
- Market Research: analysis and understanding of the target audience and competition.
- Sales Projection: sales estimates and growth targets.
- Cash Flow: control of financial inflows and outflows for business maintenance.
At the end, each participant creates a practical and objective action plan to enable immediate income generation.
Post-Course Support
After the course, students will have support from specialized consultants for a period of 90 days. This support is considered practical incubation, where entrepreneurs will receive guidance to apply the knowledge acquired and address any challenges faced at the beginning of their entrepreneurial journey.
Social Impact
Since its inception in 2019, Gerdau Transforma has helped over 20,000 enrolled students, impacting approximately 30,000 people and benefiting over 3,520 entrepreneurs in 461 cities across Brazil and Latin America. Many participants have successfully opened their own businesses with the support of the mentoring offered by the program.
