About Rota 3
The project scope includes the transportation of natural gas extracted from the pre-salt of the Santos Basin to Comperj (Petrochemical Complex of Rio de Janeiro).
Not only the gas pipelines, which should have a maximum length of about 355 km, but the project also includes the UPGN (Natural Gas Processing Unit), designed to operate processing up to 21 million m³ every day. According to Petrobras and specialists, this work should be completed in 2021.
Petrobras Will Decide the Future of Comperj in September
A technical study should be ready by the end of September and will tell Petrobras whether it is worth letting the Chinese build Comperj, which is currently only carrying out the works of the UPGN, which will supply a thermoelectric plant. Learn more here.
