Company Completes Delivery of Heavy Equipment That Will Be Used at Comperj and Secures Contract with Italian Company Working on Projects in Argentina
With many challenges imposed by the crisis that hit the oil and gas sector, but with a lot of determination and competence, Ebse, a traditional supplier of goods and services from Rio de Janeiro, completed last Sunday (08/25) the delivery of a liquid/vapor separator ordered by Mip Engenharia, which will be used in the flare system at Comperj. The large equipment is 35 meters long and 6.68 meters in diameter, and is the last of a batch of five units manufactured by Ebse.
The President of Ebse, Marcelo Bonilha, spoke about the challenge of the project, which was built thanks to the import of a type of steel that is not produced in Brazil, due to the H2S requirement that increases its resistance.

“This project brought us a great challenge in reconciling manufacturing and logistics. To achieve that, we rented a factory in Itaboraí (RJ), close to Comperj, which allowed the transportation of the equipment to the refinery,” he declared.
Ebse still has other contracts with Comperj, such as the manufacturing of spools for the Kerui-Método consortium, and is proud to have survived the crisis in the oil and gas market in Brazil.
Believing in the resumption of offshore projects, Ebse submitted a proposal for the supply of equipment and modules for Mero 2, which will be built by SBM Offshore, and is also attentive to other opportunities in the services sector, focusing on diversifying its activities.
Contract Abroad
At the same time that it successfully completes the delivery of equipment for Comperj, Ebse announces the securing of a contract abroad.
“We won a contract for the supply of duplex steel pipes with the Italian company Salini Impregilo, which is working on a decontamination project for the Riachuelo River in Argentina. We already had the knowledge and technology to work with this type of steel due to pre-salt operations. There are few companies in the world that do this,” declared Bonilha.
During the crisis, the company diversified its client portfolio and worked for Cedae (State Company of Water and Sewage of Rio de Janeiro) and Sabesp (Basic Sanitation Company of the State of São Paulo).
Now, with the resumption of the oil and gas industry, the trend is for the company to strengthen even more.
