The Contract Between Petrobras And Fugro
The maintenance concession between Petrobras and Fugro follows the successful conclusion of a previous four-year contract for similar services aboard the same vessel. During the previous contract, Fugro reported that it performed over 20,000 hours of successful ROV operations for Petrobras, helping to unlock Geo-data insights on the condition of existing assets and the surrounding environment for oil and gas operations.
Rogério Carvalho, Country Manager of Fugro Brazil, states that the company is very pleased to receive this latest maintenance contract, which once again demonstrates our commitment to customer focus. Our proven delivery excellence, combined with the fuel efficiency of the Fugro Aquarius, allowed us to present a highly competitive commercial offer that meets all the technical requirements of the tender, says Rogério.

Fugro’s Service
The company previously carried out a four-year maintenance assignment for Petrobras for similar services from the same vessel, clocking over 20,000 hours of ROV operations and providing insights into the condition of various offshore facilities.
The Fugro Aquarius is 83 m (272 ft) long and was primarily designed for offshore work in Brazil. It is said that its diesel-electric propulsion minimizes noise and carbon emissions, while its DP system ensures navigation in a wide range of sea and wind conditions.
