LNG will be exported
MME authorizes Petrobras

Authorization was given to Petrobras by the Ministry of Mines and Energy and published this Friday (14/06) in the Official Gazette

Petrobras obtained authorization from the Ministry of Mines and Energy to export excess Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) through maritime terminals in the states of Rio de Janeiro, Bahia and Ceará.
The person responsible for the authorization was the deputy minister for Mines and Energy, Marisete Fátima Dadald Pereira, but Petrobras will have to guarantee the full supply of natural gas to the domestic market.

Another condition imposed by Marisete was the submission, always by the 30th of each month, of information on exports to the National Petroleum Agency (ANP).

The substitute minister also declared that, "the surplus of LNG to be exported may be composed of cargo resulting from a single import or a mixture of cargo imported from different suppliers that signed contracts with Petrobras".

THE TAG

It is worth remembering that Petrobras will continue to use the natural gas transport services provided by TAG, through the contracts already in force between the two companies, without any impact on its operations and on the delivery of natural gas to its customers.

The concern comes after Petrobras concluded last Thursday (13/6), the sale of 90% of its stake in Transportadora Associada de Gás SA (“TAG”) to the group formed by ENGIE and the Canadian fund Caisse de Dépôt et Placement du Québec (CDPQ).

The closing of the transaction took place with the total payment of R$ 33,5 billion to Petrobras, of which approximately R$ 2 billion was destined to the settlement of TAG's debt with BNDES and occurred only after the release of the STF.

See too ! The Single Federation of Oil Workers (Fup) updated, this Friday morning, the 14th, the numbers of the general strike that was called for this Friday across the country. According to the federation, the state-owned units affected by the movement rose from nine to 14, located in 12 states, including 10 refineries.
