Petrobras Was the Big Winner of the ANP Innovation Award 2022
With the ANP Innovation Award in 2022, Petrobras took the lead. The company, which completed 13 projects in collaboration with academic institutions, government agencies, and other companies, was a finalist and won in four of the five award categories in which it competed. The results of R&D projects that represent relevant technologies for the Oil, Natural Gas, Biofuels, Petrochemicals, Renewable Energy, Energy Transition, and Decarbonization sectors were recognized with this award.
Technologies for real-time equipment monitoring, operational optimization, carbon emission reduction, and project execution costs in the millions of dollars are among the groundbreaking concepts created by Petrobras. The company has just announced an investment of US$ 2.5 billion in R&D over five years, more than double the amount allocated for R&D in the previous strategic plan (US$ 1.6 billion).

The company’s performance on Wednesday, July 1, surpassed its best performance in the previous award cycle. Of the five competitions Petrobras entered in 2020, three were won. When the epidemic struck in 2016, we had to cancel the awards ceremony.
