The CEO of PetroRio, Nelson Queiroz Tanure, Signed a Sponsorship Contract with Judoka Rafaela Silva, Gold Medalist at the Rio 2016 Olympics.
PetroRio will support the athlete, a promise for the Japan 2020 Games, throughout the Olympic cycle – one year and three months. During this period, Rafaela will compete in the World Judo Championship and the Pan American Games in Lima (Peru), among other competitions. PetroRio has been supporting the Reação Institute since 2017, an NGO that promotes social inclusion through sports and reveals talents in communities in Rio de Janeiro.
Nelson Queiroz Tanure emphasized that support for judo and high-performance sports aligns with the company’s values, which encourage the pursuit of results, discipline, and the best possible performance of its professionals, both in operations and in finances – under the basic premises of meritocracy and safety.
