Honda Bike Gains Highlight In The Used Market: Economical, The CG125i Does More Than 56 Km/L, Attracting Consumers In Search Of Economy And Reliability

The Honda CG 125i is Honda’s economical bike that hit the market in 2016 with several changes. Being one of the most sought-after used bikes in the market, the CG 125i arrived featuring electronic fuel injection, a catalyst, and a digital panel.

Economical Bike CG 125i Does Up To 56.99 Km Per Liter

The basic model of the used Honda bike is aimed at consumers looking for a robust and economical motorcycle. The large pedal on the right side of the bike and the lack of a starter button already reveal that this is an entry-level version.

After all, it is with the pedal that the rider activates the small 124.6 cc engine, which reaches a maximum power of 11.8 hp at 8,500 RPM and torque of 1.06 kgfm at 5,000 RPM. Numbers capable of taking the Honda CG 125i, which weighs 107 kg, to a top speed of just over 100 km/h.

Unlike other models in the CG line that can be fueled with ethanol or gasoline, this used bike from Honda is powered solely by gasoline. The model features low fuel consumption and great autonomy. The Honda bike reaches the mark of 57 km/liter in mixed city/highway riding.

The tank, with a flip top that facilitates refueling the used Honda bike, has a capacity of 14.6 liters and promises an incredible range of over 800 km.

Despite everything, performance is quite modest. The lack of power from the engine can be felt, especially on steeper climbs and with a passenger. It is necessary to rev the engine and downshift from the 5-speed gearbox.

Structure Of The Economical Bike Gains Highlights

The used Honda bike features 18-inch spoked wheels equipped with Levorin tires measuring 80/100 on the rear and 90/90 on the front, which cost starting from R$ 100. However, there is a myriad of other tires in the replacement market with various prices, qualities, and durabilities.

The frame of the model that gains highlight in the used motorcycle market is of the diamond type, and the suspension system is traditional and robust. It uses a shock absorber at the rear and a fork at the front. Capable of handling urban obstacles, the set offers a reasonable level of comfort.

The digital panel of the Honda CG 125i provides information on fuel level and features both partial and total odometers. Also noteworthy is the new exhaust that received metal protection, suggesting a more sophisticated economical bike.

A testament to the fact that the used Honda CG 125 has not abandoned its origins lies in the footpeg for the passenger, still directly mounted on the swingarm. A system as traditional as the bike itself. The model can be found on major sales platforms such as OLX

History Of The Honda CG 125

The first generation of the used Honda CG 125 arrived in 1976, also known as Bolinha, which premiered the production line of the Honda factory in Manaus (AM). It had a 125 cc engine with 10.4 hp of power.

In 1979, the Ecco version arrived, which featured an abundance of chrome, a four-speed rotary transmission, and a fuel-saving system. The four-stroke engine was a differential for being less polluting than two-stroke engines.

Since then, several versions have been launched until reaching its latest generation in 2022. As we know today, the 160 cc engine began to equip all models of the Honda CG, which have received technical improvements and design changes.

In 2017, the novelty was the SFF front suspension. And to mark the 45th anniversary of the Honda bike, the 2022 version brought new headlight fairings and side panels for the CG Fan, Titan, and Cargo.
