The Beer Developed By The AB InBev Innovation Team Will Be Launched First In Canada, As The Focus Is To Reach First The Countries That Suffer From The Lack Of Sun
Corona, a beer brand owned by Ambev, prides itself on always conducting its advertising campaigns based on a relationship with the Sun and summer. Now, the brand has just announced another launch that brings this relationship closer – a product never made before, which features the addition of an unprecedented ingredient in the beer world: Vitamin D.

The launch, which in addition to containing Vitamin D, is also non-alcoholic, has been named Corona Sunbrew. The new beer was developed by the AB InBev innovation team with the aim of providing 30% of the daily recommended dose of Vitamin D by experts from Health Canada. In addition to Vitamin D and being non-alcoholic, the beer has a bonus: it contains only 70 calories per bottle.
The first country that will be able to consume the new beer launch will be Canada, as the product was developed especially for customers in countries with low exposure to sunlight for much of the year, which is often due to more intense cold seasons. In the northern hemisphere, winter runs from December 21 to March 20. In extremes like Canada, sunlight is scarce during this time of year.

More than a decade of delays: the duplication of Lot 1 of BR-280, between São Francisco do Sul and Jaraguá do Sul, had its project approved in 2013, suffered stoppages and has remained halted since 2022, with only 36% of the services completed.
“As a brand that was born on the beach, Corona embraces the outdoors in everything we do because we believe that outside is where people disconnect and relax best. The feeling of the sun is one of the things people love most about the outdoors, and the Corona brand is always innovating to remind them of that feeling,” said Felipe Ambra, Global Vice President of Corona. “Now, we are excited to offer consumers Corona Sunbrew 0.0%, the first alcohol-free beer with Vitamin D, reinforcing our desire to help people reconnect with nature at any time.”
Launch In Brazil
Still in 2022, Corona Sunbrew is expected to arrive in other countries besides Canada, such as the United Kingdom and other consumer markets in Europe, South America, and Asia. So far, Corona’s new beer does not yet have a launch date in Brazil.
