IFES and UAB Open Applications for Distance Learning Degree in Language Studies
The IFES, in partnership with the Open University of Brazil (UAB), has announced the opening of applications for the Simplified Selection Process 002/2025.
The Distance Learning Degree in Language Studies – Portuguese aims to fill remaining vacancies for the first semester of 2025.

Who Can Apply?
To participate in the selection process, candidates must meet the following prerequisites:
Academic Background: Must hold a high school diploma or equivalent. Those who do not have the diploma can present proof at the time of enrollment.
Assessment: Present the results of the ENEM (National High School Examination), with passing grades in all areas, or take a discursive-argumentative essay test.
Documentation: Send official documents with a photo, CPF, and, if applicable, demonstrate professional experience in basic education.
How Will the Selection Be Conducted?
The selection process will be based on two main criteria:
ENEM Score: Candidates who choose to use their exam scores will have their scores evaluated from 2020 to 2024.
Essay Test: Applicants who prefer to take the essay test will be evaluated on a written text in the discursive-argumentative format. The test will occur on January 30, 2025, and will last for two hours.
In addition, practicing basic education teachers may earn additional points if they can prove professional experience in the field.

Applications: From January 6 to January 25, 2025, exclusively through the official IFES website.
Essay Test: January 30, 2025.
Final Result: The list of selected candidates will be published on February 7, 2025, on the IFES and UAB websites.
