Free undergraduate opportunity at UFRB
The Federal University of Recôncavo da Bahia (UFRB) published PROGRAD Notice No. 032/2024, regulating the Special Selection Process for undergraduate courses in Distance Education (EaD).
There are 1.200 vacancies offered at different locations throughout Recôncavo Baiano, covering courses in the areas of physics, mathematics, computing and arts.
According to UFRB, the objective is to expand access to higher education in a democratic way, guaranteeing places for the general public and specific categories, such as Basic Education teachers who do not yet have training in the desired area.
Courses offered and centers
The institution offers a variety of courses, with places strategically distributed across different locations. Check out the courses and their respective locations:
- Physics: Alagoinhas, Itaberaba and Salvador
- Mathematics: Feira de Santana, Jacobina, Poções and others
- computation: Salvador, Feira de Santana, Itaberaba, among others
- Interdisciplinary in arts: Valença, Jacobina, Victory of Conquest and others
Each center offers places for the first and second semesters of 2025. For example, the Computer Science course in Salvador offers 75 places in the first semester and 40 in the second.
Who can participate?
Vacancies are divided into two main categories:
- Specific audience (PE): aimed at practicing Basic Education teachers without training in the area of the desired course.
- General public: open to all candidates who meet the requirements of the notice, with places reserved for quotas and family income.
There are also vacancies for people with disabilities (PCD), reinforcing the university's commitment to accessibility and inclusion.
How the selection works
Selection follows different criteria for each registration category:
- Specific audience: Candidates will be evaluated based on a scale that considers teaching experience, length of service and performance in the course area.
- General public: the classification will be made by the score in the National High School Exam (ENEM) from 2015 to 2024, in descending order.
Candidates must be aware of the submission of documents, which must be sent in PDF format, and the dates for filing appeals, if necessary.
