Opportunity for Free Graduation at UFRB
The Federal University of Recôncavo da Bahia (UFRB) published the PROGRAD No. 032/2024 notice, regulating the Special Selection Process for undergraduate courses in Distance Education (EaD).
There are 1,200 spots offered in different locations across Recôncavo Baiano, covering courses in physics, mathematics, computing, and arts.
According to UFRB, the goal is to expand access to higher education democratically, guaranteeing spots for the general public and specific categories, such as Basic Education teachers who do not yet have the desired area of training.
Offered Courses and Locations
The institution offers options in various courses, with spots strategically distributed across different locations. Check out the courses and their respective locations:
- Physics: Alagoinhas, Itaberaba, and Salvador
- Mathematics: Feira de Santana, Jacobina, Poções, and others
- Computing: Salvador, Feira de Santana, Itaberaba, among others
- Interdisciplinary in Arts: Valença, Jacobina, Vitória da Conquista, and others
Each location offers spots for the first and second semesters of 2025. For example, the Computing course in Salvador has 75 spots available in the first semester and 40 in the second.
Who Can Participate?
The spots are divided into two main categories:
- Specific Public (SP): aimed at in-service Basic Education teachers without training in the desired course area.
- General Public: open to all candidates who meet the requirements of the notice, with reserved spots for quotas and family income.
There are also spots reserved for people with disabilities (PWD), reinforcing the university’s commitment to accessibility and inclusion.
How Selection Works
The selection follows distinct criteria for each registration category:
- Specific Public: candidates will be evaluated based on a scale that considers their experience as teachers, length of service, and work in the course area.
- General Public: classification will be based on scores from the National High School Exam (ENEM) from 2015 to 2024, in descending order.
Candidates must pay attention to document submission, which must be sent in PDF format, and to the dates for filing appeals, if necessary.
