Registrations for the New IME Contest Will Start on May 28 and Continue Until July 9. The Course Will Be in Rio de Janeiro

The Military Institute of Engineering (IME) has announced the 2025 contest announcement with 100 vacancies for admission to the training courses and graduation of active and reserve officers. The selection is for candidates with complete high school, and the training takes place in Rio de Janeiro, with a duration of five years, according to the website Folha Q Concursos.

The contest of the Military Institute of Engineering (IME) offers opportunities for active officers and reserve officers. For active duty, there are 52 vacancies for broad competition and 13 reserved for Black candidates. For the reserve, there are 28 vacancies for broad competition and 7 for Black candidates.

To participate, you must have complete high school education, maximum age of 22 years by December 31 of the year of enrollment, and minimum height of 1.60 m for men and 1.55 m for women.

Benefits for Those Selected in the IME Contest

The approved candidates will start with a starting salary of R$ 1,334.00 and will complete their training in a boarding regimen in Rio de Janeiro, with an academic and military curriculum of high level of excellence.

The registrations will be open from May 28 to July 9, 2025, exclusively through the official IME website, upon payment of a fee of R$ 140.

Those who are dependents of former combatants of the FEB, registered in CadÚnico, or bone marrow donors can request a wavier of the fee between June 2 and 6. Be attentive to the calendar and requirements so you don’t miss this opportunity.

Contest Schedule

The IME contest registrations will be open from May 28 to July 9, 2025, and must be made exclusively through the official website of the Military Institute of Engineering (IME). To finalize participation, candidates must pay a fee of R$ 140 within the stipulated timeframe.

The period to request a wavier of the fee is from June 2 to 6, 2025, and candidates eligible must meet at least one of the following criteria: be a dependent of a former combatant of the Brazilian Expeditionary Force (FEB), be registered in CadÚnico, or be a bone marrow donor.
