The National Service for Industrial Training – Senai, in Porto Velho, is offering 70 open spots for free courses in the fields of automotive electrician and motorcycle mechanic. According to the latest research, 72% of students graduating from technical courses are currently employed. In the automotive sector, this type of professional is even more in demand, as Brazil will need to qualify up to 13 million workers by 2020 to meet the labor market demands in the area.
Program Objective
According to Sesi-IE, after completing the course, students have the possibility to sign contracts with industries linked to Senai in Rondônia. The free courses in the industrial area are aimed at developing professional competencies to prepare young people and adults for the demanding labor market, training flexible and dynamic professionals capable of adapting to new forms of industrial organization and meeting the professional profile established by current legislation.

Today, an electrician is not just a fuse tester, but a trained technician capable of measuring minimal voltages and diagnosing the unimaginable. When we consider a market that occupies a stable position, motorcycle mechanics is a promising area. The growth in motorcycle sales in the country is striking. The motorcycle has a more accessible price, low cost, and ease of maintenance, and with the prospect of rising gasoline prices, financing options, and heavy traffic in cities, job opportunities for this professional are strengthening; this market is only set to grow.
The stark truth is that automotive professionals have become scientists compared to the “MacGyvers” of the past.
