Firjan SENAI has opened registrations for 160 vacancies in free mid-level technical courses at the Duque de Caxias-RJ unit. Training opportunities cover the areas of mechanics, electrical engineering, systems development and petrochemistry.
Interested parties can check the notice directly at the unit located at Rua Arthur Neiva, 100 – Centro, Duque de Caxias. Classes are scheduled to start on February 17th, with classes in the afternoon shift.
Methodology and structure of the courses
Firjan SENAI's free technical courses are carried out in a hybrid format, with 80% of in-person activities and 20% self-study. For four days a week, students attend classes and practical activities at the unit. The fifth day is reserved for independent study in the Virtual Learning Environment (AVA), under the guidance of the instructor. Therefore, it is essential that candidates have access to a computer with internet to meet the requirements of the training course.

According to Edson Melo, Professional Education Manager at Firjan SENAI, the initiative seeks to meet the growing demand for qualified professionals. “These courses are a unique opportunity for those who want to build a solid career in the market. We offer updated training, modern laboratories and qualified instructors, contributing to the socioeconomic development of the entire region,” he highlighted.
Requirements and selection process
To participate in free technical training courses, candidates must meet the age and education requirements specific to each course, in addition to having a gross monthly per capita family income of up to 1,5 minimum wages, proven by self-declaration.
The selection for qualification will be made through an objective test, scheduled for February 1, 2025, from 10 am to 12 pm, at the Firjan SENAI unit. The exam will consist of questions on Portuguese Language and Mathematics. It is necessary to present proof of registration, identification document with photo and a blue or black ballpoint pen.

- Results announced: 07/02/2025
- Enrollment: from 07/02 to 12/02/2025
