Firjan SENAI has opened registrations for 160 spots in free high school level technical courses at the Duque de Caxias-RJ unit. The training opportunities cover the fields of mechanics, electrotechnics, systems development, and petrochemicals.
Those interested can check the announcement directly at the unit located at Rua Arthur Neiva, 100 – Centro, Duque de Caxias. Classes are scheduled to begin on February 17, with afternoon sessions.
Methodology and Structure of the Courses
The free technical courses at Firjan SENAI are conducted in a hybrid format, with 80% of activities in-person and 20% self-study. For four days a week, students attend classes and practical activities at the unit. The fifth day is reserved for autonomous study in the Virtual Learning Environment (AVA), under the instructor’s guidance. Therefore, it is essential for candidates to have access to a computer with internet to meet the course requirements.

Requirements and Selection Process
To participate in the free technical training courses, candidates must meet the specific age and educational requirements for each course, in addition to having a monthly family income per capita gross of up to 1.5 minimum wage, proven by self-declaration.
The selection for qualification will be conducted through an objective test, scheduled for February 1, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., at the Firjan SENAI unit. The exam will consist of questions in Portuguese Language and Mathematics. It is necessary to present proof of registration, an identification document with photo, and a blue or black ballpoint pen.
Schedule of the Selection Process
- Registrations: until 01/31/2025
- Test: 02/01/2025, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
- Results announcement: 02/07/2025
- Enrollments: from 02/07 to 02/12/2025
- Classes start: 02/17/2025
