Trip to the Ecuadorian Amazon lasted more than 30 hours

The trip took place in March 2024. Jordan left her job in Australia and organized a long international route to Ecuador.

The journey included stops in Peru, Argentina, Brazil, and Ecuador. According to the Australian, the entire trip took more than 30 hours and involved four flights.

Another long stretch still needed to be completed within Ecuador. Jordan traveled approximately five hours between Quito and Puyo, a city near the Guayusa Runa community.

The entire journey was shared on social media. Posts about the trip quickly began to attract curiosity from users in different countries.

The arrival at the community marked the first in-person meeting between Jordan and Pitiuruk. Emotion and nervousness were part of the moment.

Jordan stated that she wanted to act respectfully towards the local culture. Even so, the Australian revealed difficulty in hiding her happiness upon realizing that everything was truly happening.

“I simply couldn’t believe it was real. It was my first time in Ecuador”, Jordan shared.

A decision made after the meeting completely changed the future of the Australian. Jordan decided to abandon her old routine in Queensland to live alongside Pitiuruk in the Ecuadorian Amazon.
