Free technical courses meet regional economic demands
One of the initiative’s differentiators is the alignment of courses with Local Productive Arrangements (APLs). This means that the educational offer considers the predominant economic activities in each region of Paraná.
This strategy increases the employability chances of students and helps companies find professionals prepared to perform specific functions.
Among the available free technical courses are:
- Administration;
- Clinical Analysis;
- Biotechnology;

Professional training creates opportunities beyond the classroom
The proposal of Professional and Technological Education goes beyond theoretical training. Students can also be directed to internship programs and Young Apprentice initiatives even during the study period.
This model brings education closer to the real needs of companies and facilitates students’ entry into the job market.
The combination of technical knowledge and practical experience has contributed to many participants completing the courses already engaged in professional activities related to the chosen field.
Growth of professional qualification gains strength in Paraná
The numbers show the evolution of technical education in the state network. According to data released by the government, the number of entrants in technical courses increased from 15.1 thousand students in 2018 to more than 50 thousand last year.
This growth is the result of the expansion of classes, the opening of new courses, and partnerships established with institutions linked to the productive sector.
Among the partners are:
- National Industrial Learning Service (Senai-PR);
- National Commercial Learning Service (Senac-PR).
These collaborations help to bring educational training closer to market demands.
Workforce training boosts strategic sectors
The expansion of technical education has direct effects on regional economic development. With more trained professionals, companies can fill specialized positions more easily.
Sectors such as industry, health, technology, civil construction, commerce, and services increasingly depend on workers with specific training.
In this scenario, the training of qualified labor becomes one of the main factors to increase the competitiveness of companies and stimulate new investments in the state.
Moreover, professional qualification contributes to improving workers’ income and expanding career growth possibilities.
New openings are expected to further expand technical education in 2026
The trend is for continued expansion of Professional and Technological Education. For 2026, it is expected that 94 state institutions will offer nearly 5,000 new openings in technical courses.
The increased participation of schools in this mode is expected to expand the reach of programs and benefit students from different municipalities.
The measure also reinforces the State of Paraná’s commitment to public policies aimed at training professionals prepared for the challenges of the current market.
How to enroll in free technical courses
Interested parties must enroll by June 30. The process can be carried out directly at the chosen educational institution or with the corresponding Regional Education Center.
Before enrolling, it is advisable to check the required documentation and the availability of the desired course in the region where the candidate resides.
Since the openings are distributed among the 29 NREs of the state, prior consultation helps identify the options closest and most suitable to each student’s professional profile.
Technical education strengthens opportunities for thousands of students
The opening of more than 3,500 free technical course openings reinforces the importance of professional education for the economic and social development of Paraná.
With 36 courses available, 112 classes distributed throughout the state, and enrollments open until June 30, the initiative expands access to professional qualification and strengthens workforce training in strategic areas.
The growth recorded in recent years and the forecast of nearly 5,000 new openings in 2026 show that technical education will continue to play a fundamental role in preparing professionals for the challenges of the labor market.
