Shein recently announced a new partnership with the Federal Government focused on opening a new unit in Brazil. This new unit of the Asian giant promises to generate 100,000 jobs. It is a pilot project that is set to expand into several regions of the country, starting in the Northeast region.

The announced investment in the new unit is 150 million dollars, which converts directly to approximately R$ 750 million across the Brazilian market. The initiative will begin in the state of Rio Grande do Norte, in its capital, with a partnership with the Coteminas factory in Macaíba. Initially, the first pieces produced in the country will be jeans, fabric, and cotton knits.
