Event Will Take Place on Thursday (12) in Rio de Janeiro and Aims to Recognize the Contribution of Professionals and Institutions to the O&G Industry

On December 12 in the city of Rio de Janeiro, the SPE sections Brazil, Macaé, Bahia-Sergipe will hold the Technical and Professional Excellence Award of the Industry, which is a celebration event recognizing technical and professional excellence in the Brazilian oil and gas industry. Also see that in 2020, 4,500 new jobs will be created in Rio de Janeiro in the area of oil exploration and production

Established in 2015, the SPE Award – Technical and Professional Excellence Award of the Industry ensures greater international recognition for the technical staff of the sector. The winners from Brazil this year will be automatically nominated to compete for the SPE South America & Caribbean Award and, if selected at this stage, will be nominated to compete for the SPE International Award.

“This achievement is a groundbreaking feat and a source of pride for professionals in the country, as before the creation of our local award, Brazilian participation in the SPE Regional Award did not reflect the size of Brazil’s O&G industry, much less the technical level of our professionals,” he emphasizes. “I hope to see everyone on the 12th,” invites Fernando Machado.

Due to this performance, Rio de Janeiro was chosen to host the SPE Regional Award ceremony, which will be held alongside the Technical and Professional Excellence Award of the Industry. The President of SPE International, Shauna Noonan, will present the Regional Award and the International Award.
