Multinational Bioenergy Confirms 36 Thousand Jobs in Manaus and Other Cities in AM for Construction of Three Ethanol Production Plants

With an investment of at least R$ 4.4 billion and generating 36 thousand jobs in Manaus, Rio Preto da Eva, and Itacoatiara, the company Millenium Bioenergy aims to build three ethanol production plants that will comprise the largest biofuel production chain in the northern region, along with the Bonfim plant in Roraima. The information comes from Acácio Rozendo, commercial director of the company Millenium Bioenergy, and was presented last Saturday (07) during the groundbreaking ceremony that marked the beginning of the construction of the Bonfim Plant in the municipality of Roraima.

According to Rozendo, the construction process for the plants in the state of Amazonas is expected to begin in the coming months, and is currently just waiting on a grading project that is already in the final stages.

The forecast is that the plants will begin operations by the end of 2021. The ventures will be built in the cities of Rio Preto da Eva, Itacoatiara, and Manaus, and should be supplied by local producers.

According to Congressman Josué Neto, economist and president of the Legislative Assembly of Amazonas (Alem), the production of ethanol with incentives from the Manaus Free Trade Zone will make the biofuel produced in the northern region more attractive to the consumer market.
