The Central Bank of Brazil (Bacen) is about to publish the notice for the long-awaited competition that will offer 100 vacancies for the position of analyst. The selection process will require higher education and promises an attractive starting salary of R$20.924,80. The notice must be published by the 15th, according to information from JC Concursos.
The Central Bank competition will be organized by Cebraspe and will offer vacancies in two different areas: information technology (infrastructure, network and development) and economics/finance, with 50 vacancies each. The distribution of vacancies for each area will be as follows:
- Information Technology: 37 vacancies for broad competition, 3 for people with disabilities and 10 for black candidates.
- Economy and Finance: Same distribution of vacancies as the information technology area.
Requirements, remuneration and more information about the Central Bank competition
Candidates interested in applying for an analyst position at the Central Bank must have higher-level training in any area. The initial remuneration offered is R$20.924,80.

The selection process will feature objective and dissertation tests, scheduled to take place between March and April 2024. Os approved They will undergo a training program between September and October 2024, with admission scheduled between February and March 2025.
Expectations and lag of servers at the Central Bank
Bacen expects to receive around 50 thousand registrations for the 100 vacancies offered. However, even with this offer, the server lag will remain significant. Currently, the analyst career has 5.309 positions, of which only 2.771 are occupied, generating a need for 2.538 employees.
The Central Bank does not rule out the possibility of calling on more successful candidates during the competition's validity period. Bacen's director of relationships, citizenship and conduct supervision, Mauricio Moura, stated that the intention is to negotiate with the government to call up the remainder.
The last Bacen competition took place in 2013, offering 500 vacancies for technician and analyst positions. A remuneration initial price ranged between R$5.158,23 and R$14.289,24. The competition stages included an objective test, discursive test, title analysis (only for analysts) and a training program for those approved. The lots were distributed in Brasília (DF), Belém (PA), São Paulo (SP), Salvador (BA) and Porto Alegre (RS).
