With Forecast Revenue Above R$ 25 Billion, Supermercados BH Lives Its Strongest Moment, Grows 17% in the Year and Consolidates Expansion with New Stores
Supermercados BH expects to exceed R$ 25 billion in revenue, according to owner Pedro Lourenço, known as Pedrinho. The amount indicates an increase of about 17% compared to last year and confirms the growth rate of the chain.
In 2024, BH reached R$ 21.2 billion. With this result, the company surpassed Grupo Pão de Açúcar in the ranking of Associação Brasileira de Supermercados and took fourth place among the largest supermarket chains in the country.
Accelerated Expansion and New Acquisition
Pedrinho reported that Supermercados BH has already opened 20 stores this year. He explained that this movement is part of the ongoing expansion strategy that the company has maintained in recent years.

The chain also purchased Bretas, owned by Cencosud Brasil, for R$ 716 million. The operation added 52 units to the group, strengthening the brand’s presence in different regions.
Milestones and Goals of the Chain
The Minas Gerais-based company is approaching its 30th anniversary in 2026. By the end of the current fiscal year, BH is expected to reach 400 stores, a number highlighted by Pedrinho as an important milestone for Minas Gerais and for the group itself.
The entrepreneur stated that he is satisfied with the current moment of the chain. He emphasized that the expansion will continue as opportunities arise, using its own resources to sustain the growth.
Opportunities in the Market
Pedrinho mentioned that Supermercados BH remains vigilant for acquisition opportunities. He clarified that the chain does not have specific plans to buy other companies at the moment.
According to the owner, everything depends on the conditions presented. He reiterated that if favorable opportunities arise, the company is ready to act, as long as they bring benefits to BH.
