CES 2023, The World’s Largest Technology Fair, Took Place from January 5 to 8 in Las Vegas and Featured Various Products, Primarily Focusing on Automotive Technology.
Various innovations were presented to automotive technology enthusiasts, such as Lidar, which took over the showroom in the West Hall, offering the best experience about electric vehicles.
Regarding autonomous vehicles, companies like Holon, Hyundai Mobis, and Zoox are just a few that showcased these types of vehicles. Throughout the CES 2023 structure, electric vehicle charging and energy storage were displayed throughout the show, from the crowded Eureka Park to the North and West Halls of the Las Vegas Convention Center.
Launches and Innovations in the Automotive Technology Sector
Some announcements regarding EV charging were made at CES 2023, such as Mercedes’ plan to launch a global charging network. A car’s cockpit is evolving into a digitally connected experience that includes augmented reality and even virtual reality from companies like Holoride.

Volkswagen introduced the ID 7 with electroluminescent paint that lights up on command. But that isn’t the most interesting part of this upcoming vehicle (not counting the magic paint).
Google announced the HD version of its Vehicle Maps solution, an additional layer of data provided to L2+ or L3 steering of a vehicle via the Google Car service. Volvo and Polestar will be the first automakers to have Google Maps in HD. Google is also showcasing new features of Android Auto that facilitate drivers’ navigation, play podcasts and music, and communicate while on the road. The new UX design update features a split-screen layout that displays directions, music, and text simultaneously.
Technology Also in the Electric Scooter Sector
Davinci Motor unveiled its upcoming electric motorcycle, the DC100. It’s a heavy piece of machinery, but the company claims it can rival the performance of a 1,000 cc internal combustion motorcycle, with 0-60 in less than three seconds and a top speed of 124 mph.
Icoma launched the Tatamel Bike, a prototype of a foldable bicycle in classic Japanese style that actually folds into a box that fits under your desk. The exterior of the foldable scooter can be customized with wood, fake grass, or leather. It’s a cool concept, but it may still be a concept.
Verge revealed a new electric superbike called Verge TS, which features an electric motor integrated into the rear wheel, which the company claims transmits power directly to the road. It also creates more space in the middle for the battery. It is available for pre-order now for $26,900, with deliveries in the U.S. scheduled for late 2023.
