The passage through the American regulatory agency is the most concrete sign that the device is near. The circulating information, however, is still leaks and brings a surprise: the new processor may not be that superior to the previous model, raising doubts about what really changes.

The Galaxy A27, Samsung’s new mid-range and affordable smartphone, is getting closer to hitting the market. The device received certification from the FCC, the United States communications regulatory agency, which is usually a strong indication of an imminent launch, with the debut expected in the second half of 2026 and specifications that, according to leaks, include a Snapdragon chip and a 50 MP main camera.

The information was released on June 3, 2026, from the device’s registration in the FCC database. It is important, however, to separate what is confirmed from what is still speculation: the passage through the American agency is a fact and indicates that the launch is approaching, but the technical specifications of the device have not been made official by Samsung and are based on leaks, and should be viewed with caution until the official announcement, as we will detail below.

What the FCC certification really confirms

The Samsung Galaxy A27 received FCC certification and is expected to arrive in the 2nd half of 2026; see the leaked specs, such as the Snapdragon chip and the 50 MP camera.
The passage through the regulatory agency is the most solid data so far.

The FCC certification is required for electronic devices that emit or use radiofrequency, and the presence of the Galaxy A27 in its database indicates that the device meets regulatory requirements and is being prepared to hit the market, although the document does not reveal the product’s technical specifications.

According to the listing, the device appears in different versions, identified by model numbers.

Among them would be the global model (SM-A276B), a carrier-locked variant in the United States (SM-A276U), a factory-unlocked version for the American market (SM-A276U1), and a variant intended for the TracFone carrier (SM-S276V).

The presence of global and American versions suggests a wide release of the device.

The expected specifications, according to leaks

This is the part that is not yet official and requires caution.

According to previous leaks, and not confirmed information by Samsung, the Galaxy A27 is expected to feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chip, which would replace the Exynos 1380 used in the Galaxy A26, along with versions with 6 GB and 8 GB of RAM and storage from 128 GB to 256 GB, according to rumors circulating in the specialized press.

Still according to the leaks, the device would have a 5,000 mAh battery with 25 W fast charging and a screen of about 6.7 inches.

In terms of cameras, rumors point to a 50 MP main sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS), accompanied by a 5 MP ultrawide and a 2 MP macro lens, while the front camera would have 12 MP.

It is worth emphasizing that none of this has been officially confirmed by the manufacturer so far.

The detail that deserves consumer attention

Not everything in the rumors is necessarily good news, and here critical thinking is warranted.

Although the change from the Exynos chip to the Snapdragon is generally well-received, analyses from the specialized press indicate that the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 is a processor launched in 2024 and that, in performance tests, it might lag behind the Exynos 1380 of the Galaxy A26 in some measurements, which raises doubts about the real performance gain.

The most likely explanation, according to these analyses, would be cost control: with the rise in memory component prices throughout 2026, using an older and cheaper chip would help keep the final price of the device down.

Furthermore, the leaks indicate possible cuts compared to the previous model, such as a lower resolution ultrawide camera and the absence of microSD card expansion, points that may displease some consumers and are worth noting when the product is officially released.

When the Galaxy A27 is expected to arrive

The launch expectation already has a probable window, although not official.

Samsung has not confirmed the launch date of the Galaxy A27, but the forecast, based on leaks, is that it will hit the market in the second half of 2026, possibly between June and August, completing the brand’s mid-range line for the year.

The device would be the last piece of Samsung’s 2026 mid-range family, which has already launched the Galaxy A37 and A57 models earlier this year.

The Galaxy A line is traditionally one of the brand’s bestsellers, precisely because it offers a balance between price and features, which usually generates great anticipation with each new release, especially among consumers looking for good value for money.

Why this matters to Brazilian consumers

The topic holds special relevance for the national market.

Brazil is an important market for the Galaxy A line, which is among the most popular of Samsung in the country, precisely because it combines a more affordable price with features considered sufficient for the daily use of most people, making each new model in the series highly anticipated here.

Therefore, keeping track of the Galaxy A27’s progress, from certification to specification leaks, helps Brazilian consumers plan and compare options before a future purchase.

Still, the best thing to do is to wait for Samsung’s official announcement, with confirmed prices and specifications for Brazil, before drawing definitive conclusions about the device and its real cost-benefit in the national market.

The certification of the Galaxy A27 by the FCC is another sign that Samsung’s new mid-range device is on its way, reinforcing the expectation of a launch in the second half of 2026.

For now, however, it is essential to remember that much of the information about the device still comes from leaks, not official sources, including details that deserve attention, such as processor performance and possible feature cuts.

For those considering buying, the recommendation is simple: keep up with the news, but wait for Samsung’s final word before deciding.

And you, are you waiting for the launch of the Galaxy A27 or do you prefer another Samsung model? What do you think of the specifications that have leaked so far?
