The Federal Institute of Mato Grosso do Sul (IFMS) opened free enrollment for the Computer Operator course, which will be offered 100% online in the second semester of 2025.
This initiative is part of the CREAD/IFMS Public Notice No. 061/2025, which offers Initial and Continuing Education (FIC) courses with a nationally valid certificate. The enrollment deadline continues until September 7.
Broad Offer in Different Municipalities
The distribution of spots is varied, allowing residents from various regions of the state to access the courses.

In hubs like Aquidauana, Corumbá, Dourados, Nova Andradina, and Ponta Porã, along with the linked units in Amambai, Antônio João, Maracaju, and Aral Moreira, the number of spots is unlimited.
In Campo Grande, 100 spots have been opened, while Nova Alvorada do Sul and Sidrolândia have 50 each. In São Gabriel do Oeste, there are 60 opportunities, and in Camapuã, 20.
Other municipalities, such as Aparecida do Taboado, Chapadão do Sul, Costa Rica, Paraíso das Águas, Paranaíba, and Três Lagoas, add up to 40 spots per hub, along with 25 in Cassilândia.
This combination between hubs with unlimited spots and those with fixed numbers expands the program coverage and ensures access to different candidate profiles.
Minimum Requirements for Enrollment
According to the public notice, interested individuals must have completed at least Elementary School I.
Proof of education is mandatory at the time of enrollment, should the candidate be called. The course is completely free, with no fees charged at any stage of the process.
How Selection Will Be Made
The classification of registrants will depend on electronic lottery, scheduled for September 11, 2025, at 10 AM, with live transmission on IFMS’s official YouTube channel.
If the number of registrants is less than or up to 10% above the total number of spots at a specific hub, all may be directly called for enrollment, at the discretion of the campus.
Course Structure and Objective
The Computer Operator course is offered entirely in the Distance Learning mode, with activities in a virtual learning environment.
The training aims to prepare professionals to perform IT tasks applied to administrative and operational routines in different sectors.
At the end, students receive a nationally valid certificate, a document that can be used in job selection processes and competitions.
Other Opportunities in the Same Public Notice
In addition to the training in Computer Operator, IFMS has also opened spots for the courses of Administrative Assistant and Salesperson, also free and offered remotely.
The numbers vary according to the chosen hub. The complete table, including the requirements for each course, is available in the public notice.
Steps After Selection
After the lottery, the preliminary result will be announced, followed by the deadline for appeals. The final result will provide the list of qualified candidates by hub.
Next, the call for enrollment will occur, within the number of available spots.
If there are unfilled spots, the institution will make successive calls until the total offered is completed. The entire process is digital, eliminating the need for in-person travel.
How to Enroll
Candidates must complete their enrollment by September 7, exclusively online, by accessing the IFMS Selection Center.
It is necessary to create or update the registration on the Candidate Page, select the announcement “FIC EaD 2025/2,” indicate the desired hub and course, and confirm the enrollment.
The system generates a confirmation receipt, which can be accessed on the page itself or received via email.
