How Does the Program Work?
According to the CECIERJ Foundation, the program seeks tutors to work both in-person and in distance education (EAD).
In-person activities include classes on Saturdays, academic orientation sessions, and pedagogical tasks, with a workload of eight hours per week.
On the other hand, EAD tutors will work 20 hours per week, exclusively in the online environment.
These positions cater to the areas of English and Spanish, as well as other subjects, with options for those with a background in Libras (Interpreter).
What Subjects Have Open Positions?
The selection covers the following areas:
- Portuguese Language;
- Mathematics;
- Physics;
- Chemistry;
- Biology;
- History;
- Geography;
- English;
- Spanish;
- Libras (Interpreter).
According to the announcement, English and Spanish tutors will carry out their activities exclusively in the remote format. This opens opportunities for candidates from any region to apply.
Requirements to Apply
To compete for a position, you must be enrolled in or have completed a degree from an institution recognized by the Ministry of Education (MEC).
However, there is a restriction: candidates who were dismissed from the program in 2024 or had unsatisfactory performance will not be able to participate.
Another important point is that interested candidates will need to pay an application fee of R$ 40.00, to be paid at Banco Bradesco.
How Much Do Tutors Earn?
Compensation is one of the attractions of the selection process. According to information from the CECIERJ Foundation itself, in-person tutors will receive scholarships ranging from R$ 770.00 to R$ 1,540.00.
EAD tutors will receive a fixed amount of R$ 770.00 for 20 hours of remote work per week.
Phases of the Selection Process
The selection will be divided into two phases:
- General Portuguese Language and Specific Content Test;
- Didactic Test, which will be conducted online.
According to the announcement, the first phase is scheduled for January 25, 2025, and the results with the selected candidates will be announced on February 17, 2025.
Candidates must arrive at the test location one hour in advance.
