Federal University of Roraima (UFRR) opens a new selection process for the formation of a reserve list of tutors in the Extension Course in Special Education from the Perspective of Inclusive Education.

With this in mind, UFRR, in partnership with the Open University of Brazil (UAB) and the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES), is investing in the training of tutors who will work in distance education.
The selected candidates will receive a scholarship of R$ 1,100 per month to work remotely, with a workload of 20 hours per week.
Who Can Apply?
To become a tutor for the extension course in Special Education, it is necessary to meet some mandatory criteria.
Candidates must have a higher education degree in any field, availability to work 20 hours a week, and proficiency in technological tools.
Moreover, the university has implemented an inclusion policy in the selection process.
Following CAPES Ordinance No. 309/2024, 25% of the reserve list spots will be allocated to black, brown, indigenous candidates, people with disabilities, transgender individuals, and transvestites.
This measure aims to promote equity in the academic environment and ensure diversity in education.
What Will Be the Role of Tutors?
The extension course will have a workload of 120 hours and will be conducted 100% online.
The activities will take place both synchronously and asynchronously, using the Virtual Learning Environment (AVA) of the Federal University of Goiás (UFG).
Tutors will play a fundamental role in supporting students, being responsible for:
- Mediating communication between students and teachers;
- Monitoring the performance of the students;
- Assisting instructors in the implementation of pedagogical activities;
- Ensuring student engagement by clarifying doubts and encouraging participation;
- Conducting assessments and creating periodic reports.
Selection Process: Criteria and Scoring
The selection will be carried out in a single stage:
curricular analysis.
The scoring of candidates will be defined based on the following criteria:
- Undergraduate diploma: 10 points;
- Postgraduate, specialization or improvement in the area of Special Education: 15 points;
- Experience as a teacher in Basic Education: 0.5 points per year of service;
- Participation in Afro-Brazilian and Indigenous Study Nuclei (NEAB/NEABI): 0.5 points per year of service;
- Previous experience in Distance Education: 0.5 points per year of service.
To be approved, the candidate must achieve at least 50 points in the curricular evaluation.
