Chinese Automated Factory Accelerates Production And Repositions Brand In Brazil, With High-Power Tractors, CVT Transmission And Precision Agriculture Package Showcased In Fairs, While After-Sales And Parts Availability Enter The Center Of Dispute With Traditional Competitors.
The Chinese manufacturer Lovol has turned its attention back to Brazil while expanding its industrial capacity in China, after inaugurating a production base in Weifang, Shandong province, announced with an investment of US$ 420 million and a pace of one unit every four minutes.
With this cycle, the company claims to have the capacity to produce up to 100,000 tractors per year, in a line marked by heavy automation and integration of processes, in a competition that aims to reach farms outside of Asia and, once again, Brazilian customers.
Lovol Factory In Weifang And Scale Production
The goal of the plant is to sustain volume and standardization, and the calculation behind “one tractor every 4 minutes” is linked to the continuous assembly flow, which, maintained throughout the year, approaches the announced goal of 100,000 machines.

While the company showcases the factory as a display of smart manufacturing, the commercial message is straightforward: to expand the offer of models with power shift transmission and CVT, targeting customers who already demand comfort, efficiency, and compatibility with precision agriculture.

History Of Lovol And Change With The Weichai Group
The group’s trajectory involves the Chinese industrial expansion of the late 1990s, when Foton Motor consolidated operations and advanced into areas beyond trucks, in a move that opened space for the agricultural and construction machinery division associated with the name Lovol.
However, the change in level gained another dimension with the entry of the Weichai Group in control, an operation described by technical publications as a restructuring that led Weichai to become the controlling shareholder and integrate engines and transmissions into its portfolio.
With Lovol aligned to the Shandong Heavy Industry industrial ecosystem, the manufacturer began to emphasize access to supply chains and powertrain technologies, including CVT transmissions, in addition to repositioning the brand to compete outside China.
Lovol In Brazil And Presence In Agrishow
In Brazil, the strategy has been to establish presence through a network of dealers and partners, focusing on fairs and demonstrations, in an attempt to reduce the distance between product and support, a point considered decisive in a market dominated by traditional brands.
At Agrishow 2025, held in Ribeirão Preto from April 28 to May 2, Lovol reported occupying a booth of 1,200 m² and showcasing 14 models, with machines aimed at grains, sugarcane, orchards, and coffee plantations, in addition to reinforcing dealer training.
The company also announced at the fair the launch of the F4090 with cabin, described as a model aimed at orchards and coffee plantations, seeking a niche where dimensions, maneuverability, and comfort are as important as gross power.
240 Hp Tractor With CVT And Smart Technology
Among the standout models, Lovol has presented to the Brazilian public a tractor with 240 hp with CVT transmission, within the P7000 series, combining Weichai engine and operation proposal in extensive crops, where consumption, performance, and ergonomics are taken into account.
In technical material from the brand itself, the series reports a speed of 0 to 40 km/h with CVT and a fuel tank capacity of 420 liters, in addition to specifying emission standards such as “Phase III”, which helps fit the type of engine offered.
In the same set of materials and institutional communications, the company associates its smart tractors with precision agriculture systems and the BeiDou satellite navigation, emphasizing assisted steering and automation of tasks, depending on the configuration and package adopted.
Lovol also describes that the P7240 CVT can operate with support from its proprietary precision system, and the idea of “autonomous operation” appears linked to the use of this ecosystem, in an agenda that has become common among manufacturers seeking to differentiate high-power equipment.
Smaller Models And Portfolio Beyond The Field
For producers who do not need a tractor in this power range, the brand offers utilitarian options in the country, such as the TH754, presented as a 75 hp 4×4 tractor with synchronized transmission 12F+12R, aimed at small and medium-sized properties.
In addition to the agricultural portfolio, Lovol seeks to expand its presence with construction equipment, such as loaders and excavators, leveraging group synergies and Brazilian demand for machinery in construction and rural services, especially in expanding productive regions.
In the harvesting line, the company also promotes the RG108 Plus as a crawler harvester suitable for rice, with a 100 hp engine, a feed rate of 5 kg per second, and a platform of 2,300 mm, specifications that appear in catalogs and commercial pages.
After-Sales, Parts And Farmer Confidence
The competition, however, does not rely solely on price and technical specifications, because after-sales is often the decisive filter for those purchasing work machinery, and the Brazilian experience shows that parts network, workshop, and response time weigh more than advertising.
In recent years, initiatives by the Weichai group in Brazil have also drawn attention outside the tractor segment, with the announcement and opening of operations in Itumbiara (GO) linked to investments of around R$ 100 million, according to announcements from state and municipal government.
Nonetheless, transforming presence into market share requires consistency, as part of the audience remains skeptical about the durability and support of Chinese brands, while another portion sees accelerated technological advancement and bets that competition is likely to intensify.
If Lovol manages to uphold its industrial promise of volume and technology while simultaneously delivering assistance and parts at the pace that the Brazilian field demands, what will be the most decisive factor for the farmer in the next purchase: support network or entry price?
