Tupinambá: Leader in Technology for Electric Vehicles

In a strategic and innovative move in the electric vehicle sector, Tupinambá, a Brazilian company specialized in smart solutions for electric vehicles, announced an important agreement with Raízen Power. This agreement represents a significant milestone for Tupinambá, which is now fully focused on the development of advanced technologies and management software for electric charging stations.

Based in São Paulo, Tupinambá has already established itself as a prominent name in the Brazilian electric mobility market. With this partnership, the company aims to expand its influence and operational capacity, leveraging the robust infrastructure and expertise of Raízen Power, a division of Raízen focused on renewable electric energy and licensed under the Shell Recharge brand in Brazil, Argentina, and Paraguay.

Expansion and Innovation

The alliance between Tupinambá and Raízen Power involves the implementation of 204 alternating current (AC) chargers, with the potential to increase to over 600 new charging points, ranging from 7.4 to 22 kW of power. This initiative not only expands Tupinambá’s charging network but also marks Raízen Power’s entry into a new market segment, complementing its portfolio of electromobility solutions.

Environmental Impact and Service Expansion

The positive environmental impact of Tupinambá’s initiatives is remarkable. With over 60,000 charges made on its network, the company has avoided the emission of more than 1,100 tons of CO2 into the atmosphere. Rafael Rebello, Electric Mobility Director of Raízen Power, highlights the importance of this agreement for the advancement of electric mobility in Brazil and Latin America. The Shell Recharge stations, in addition to Shell gas stations, will now be more accessible in strategic locations such as highways, malls, supermarkets, hotels, and parking lots.

By utilizing renewable energy and i-Rec certificates, the company has positively impacted the lives of over 12,000 electric vehicle drivers, not only in Brazil but also in Argentina and Paraguay.
