Company Invests in Refueling Units at Congonhas and São José dos Campos Airports, In Addition to Starting Operations at the Paulínia Terminal, Strengthening Logistics and Digitalization in the Aviation Fuel Sector in Brazil
Air bp, one of the largest global suppliers of aviation fuel, is making a significant bet on the growth of the Brazilian market. The company announced a robust investment of R$50 million to expand its operations in the state of São Paulo, focusing on logistical efficiency, digitalization, and customer service.
As a result, the company inaugurated new refueling units at the Congonhas (São Paulo) and São José dos Campos airports, in addition to starting the operation of aviation kerosene at the Opla terminal in Paulínia, one of the most strategic regions in the national energy sector.
Expansion in Strategic Logistics Hubs
According to Air bp, this move represents an important step to increase its participation in Brazil, especially in locations considered national and international logistics hubs. The focus is not only on geographical growth but also on offering differentiated and integrated services through digital platforms that enhance safety and productivity in refueling.

The president of Air bp South America, Ricardo Paganini, emphasized that these actions demonstrate the company’s commitment to serving an increasingly demanding and constantly changing market:
“The new refueling units mark our expansion in the country and the growing market of the state of São Paulo. We want to further expand our offerings to the market with differentiated and digitized services.”
Paulínia Strengthens Logistics Connection with the Midwest
The operation in Paulínia, located in the interior of São Paulo, is strategic. In addition to being an important fuel distribution hub, the location allows Air bp to flexibly meet the growing demand in the aviation market of the Southeast and also the Midwest, a crucial region for agribusiness and corporate air transport.
The terminal operated in partnership with Ultracargo Logística, through the joint venture Opla, further reinforces the company’s ability to integrate its various businesses in Brazil, optimizing routes, reducing costs, and increasing the resilience of aviation fuel supply.
Consolidated National Presence and Focus on High Performance
Today, Air bp already operates in more than 40 locations in Brazil, including the main airports in the country, such as Guarulhos, Viracopos (Campinas), and Galeão (Rio de Janeiro). This national operation is part of bp‘s strategy, which considers Brazil as a resilient supply center for domestic and global markets.
Focusing on high-return investments, the company has prioritized projects such as the one in São Paulo to ensure sustainable growth and increase supply, always combining technology, safety, and environmental commitment.
