Federal University with Openings for EAD Tutors: UFU Opens Unmissable Opportunity for Those Seeking a Home Office Position as EAD Tutor in a Program of Great Importance for Education
For those looking for a chance to work from home, earning some money every month while helping the country’s education, this news may make a difference: the Federal University of Uberlândia (UFU) has opened 216 positions for EAD tutors, all online, and the best part — you don’t have to leave home.
This position is to participate in an extension course focused on media education and human rights, which is part of a continuing education program. In other words, you will work with distance education and help bring knowledge to many people across Brazil, no matter where you live.
Who Can Apply for One of These EAD Tutor Positions?
To compete for one of the EAD tutor positions at UFU, no specific training is required. You only need to have a complete higher education degree — it can be a bachelor’s or degree in any field. Additionally, it is necessary to have at least 1 year of experience as a teacher. If the person does not have this experience, they can still participate if they have a postgraduate degree or are linked to a public educational institution.

Another important point: since everything is done online, the tutor needs to have a computer with internet access and a phone with a working camera and microphone, to participate in meetings, interact with students, and follow up on course activities. Having this basic equipment is the tutor’s responsibility.
What Does an EAD Tutor Do?
The EAD tutor is like the teacher’s right hand in the online course. They accompany the students, answer questions, participate in forums, help organize the virtual environment, and serve as a bridge between students and teachers.
It is a role that requires attention, patience, and organization, as it will be necessary to manage several people at the same time and keep everything running smoothly. The idea is for the tutor to be present, even virtually, to ensure that no one gets lost in the content and that real learning occurs.
How to Enroll in UFU’s Selection Process
Registration started on March 21 and will continue until April 14, 2025. Everything is done directly through the Federal University of Uberlândia website. There, you fill out the form, attach the required documents, and submit it. It’s important to fill out everything carefully to avoid being eliminated right at the start.
The selection process has two stages:
- Document Review — This is where they check whether you meet the basic requirements of the announcement. This phase eliminates those who do not have everything in order.
- Evaluation of Training and Experience — This is where points are awarded. They will analyze what you have studied and whether you have any experience in education. The more qualifications you have, the better your position on the list.
After this, the final ranking will be based on the scores from these two stages. Those with more points will rank higher. If you are approved, you will receive a monthly scholarship of R$ 765 and will work for up to 8 months, with the possibility of being called again if all goes well.
The activities will be conducted within the UFU’s Moodle platform, via the SIMEC/MEC system, in addition to other digital means that the team will indicate. Everything is done at your own pace because the work is asynchronous, which means you do not need to be online at the same time as the students or teachers.
Why is This UFU Position Worth It?
Besides the money at the end of the month and being a job done from home, this position helps those who want to enter or continue in the world of education. Working as an EAD tutor provides practical experience with distance education, contact with students from different places, and opens doors to other opportunities.
Another point is that UFU is a public university linked to the Ministry of Education, and those who work or have worked with them know that the organization is good and the recognition is real. It’s not the type of thing that disappears without a trace or changes the rules halfway through.
If you are looking for an opportunity with stability, where you truly make a difference in people’s lives, this could be the entry point.
