What the British government says

A spokesman for the interior Ministery said the government is implementing a plan to increase the deportation of illegal immigrants, with the expectation of saving around 4 billion pounds in the next two years. In April 2024, a law was passed that allows the deportation of immigrants who have requested asylum, taking them to a destination such as Rwanda, even without ever having been there.

What does Itamaraty say?

In a note, the Itamaraty clarified that the United Kingdom proposed to organize flights from voluntary return to Brazil for Brazilians registered in Voluntary Return Program (VRS).
