University of São Paulo Seeks Qualified Professionals to Work in Piracicaba with Benefits Under the CLT Regime

The University of São Paulo (USP) announced the opening of registrations for a public competition aimed at filling a position for Electrical Engineer, with specialization in Electrical Systems, in the city of Piracicaba.

The selection process, governed by announcement no. 08/2025, offers an attractive salary of R$ 10,742.56 for a workload of 40 hours per week. The hiring will be conducted under the Consolidation of Labor Laws (CLT) regime, guaranteeing selected candidates a series of benefits.

Requirements and Qualifications Required by USP

Candidates interested in participating in the competition must meet strict criteria. It is essential to have a complete education in engineering and be registered with the Regional Council of Engineering and Agronomy (CREA).

Additionally, candidates must possess:

  • Certification in electrical safety (NR10) with a workload of 40 hours.
  • Advanced knowledge in AutoCAD 2023 and Revit, as well as tools such as Excel and Word.
  • Specific course in Safety in Power System (SEP), also with a duration of 40 hours.
  • Proven experience in bidding processes and engineering contracts.
  • Intermediate proficiency in English and solid skills in information technology.

Structure of the Selection Process

The selection process will take place in two main phases. The first stage consists of a multiple-choice objective test with 60 questions, covering everything from institutional regulations to specific technical knowledge. This test is scheduled for April 13, 2025 and will serve to eliminate and classify candidates.

Those who pass this phase will advance to the second stage, which will be a dissertative test addressing a proposed practical situation. The tests will occur simultaneously in several cities, including Ribeirão Preto and São Paulo.

Registrations and Conditions

Registrations for the USP public competition will be open from February 19 to March 18, 2025, until noon. Interested parties must register through the FUVEST online platform.

The registration fee is R$ 165.00, with options for exemption or reduction for candidates who meet the requirements specified in the announcement.

More Information and Consultation to the Announcement

The complete announcement can be consulted in the Official Gazette of the State of São Paulo, in the edition of February 12, 2025.

For more information and clarifications, candidates can use the “Contact Us” service from USP, which is available to assist with any questions that may arise during the registration and selection process.

With this initiative, USP reaffirms its commitment to academic excellence and hiring highly qualified professionals, offering a unique opportunity for engineers seeking professional growth and involvement in prominent projects in the area of electrical systems.
