Excellent offshore job opportunity for an experienced professional who will be part of the world’s first ship built on the west coast of Scotland. The client is a renowned owner and operator of offshore vessels with a strong presence in the Caspian Sea region. The professional will be responsible for managing, executing, and delivering the electrical systems assigned in the project. They will report to the Project Director and contact various departments of the shipyard during construction, which is expected to last 12 months. It is important that they have previous experience as a leader in the Electrical sector and are available to start at the beginning of November 2018, with the possibility of earlier commencement.
Requirements
- Electrical Engineer with a minimum of 3 years of Experience in New Build in a Superintendent role
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in shipbuilding
- Ability to interpret projects, drawings, and specifications
- Knowledge of ship and barge construction challenges and cost factors
- Excellent organizational, time management, quality, and communication skills
- IT Skills – Experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel (Advanced), and Project Planner
