With Inauguration Forecast Between 2026 and 2027, New Snowland Unit in São Paulo Promises Snow, Skiing, and an Even Larger Structure
One of the most well-known theme parks in Brazil is about to gain a new unit. The famous Snowland, located in Gramado, in the Serra Gaúcha, will be landing in São Paulo. The group responsible for the project, Gramado Parks, announced an investment of around R$ 200 million to build the new indoor snow park in the capital.
The original Snowland, inaugurated in 2013, is a space where winter is guaranteed all year round. In its 16,000 square meters, the park offers experiences like ice skating, skiing, snowboarding, and theatrical presentations, all amid negative temperatures.
The success of the venture in Gramado attracted 580,000 visitors last year, with projections to reach up to 800,000 soon.

New Unit in São Paulo Will Be Even Larger
With the good performance, the Gramado Parks Group decided to expand and bring the concept to another city. The choice of São Paulo was not random.
According to the group, the city has high demand for entertainment and a large population, making the capital strategic for the new venture.
The forecast is that the new park will be inaugurated between 2026 and 2027. The São Paulo unit is expected to be even larger than the original in Gramado, exceeding the current 16,000 m².
Additionally, the new structure may include a hotel nearby, enhancing the experience for those who wish to spend more time at the location.
Attractions and Structure with Alpine Climate
The park will maintain the main attractions that made the original successful. Visitors will be able to enjoy artificial snow, skiing, snowboarding, slides, and ice skating.
There will also be themed areas for children and gastronomic spaces with an ambiance inspired by alpine villages.
One of the highlights is the internal temperature, which can reach -5ºC even during the summer. To ensure comfort and safety, the park will provide special thermal clothing, such as jackets, boots, pants, and gloves, just as it is done in Gramado.
Group Plans Growth with Expansion
The exact location of the construction in São Paulo has not yet been disclosed, but the expectation is that the new unit will reinforce the group’s name as a reference in theme parks in Brazil.
For the CEO of Gramado Parks, Ronaldo Beber, this is an important step in consolidating the brand.
“The idea is to take the Snowland experience to more Brazilians and create a national reference for entertainment,” Beber stated in an interview. According to him, the new phase is expected to attract even more visitors and open doors to new markets.
Original Theme Park Remains as Showcase
The Snowland in Gramado has two main areas: the Alpine Village and the Snow Mountain. In the Village, the temperature ranges between 18ºC and 22ºC, with shops, an ice skating rink, and a food court.
On the Mountain, temperatures are much lower, and the environment houses the attractions with snow.
With the arrival of the new unit, more people will have access to the winter experience in the middle of the heat. And with the progress of the project, São Paulo is about to gain one of the largest indoor snow parks in Latin America.
