New Bridge of R$ 31 Million Aims to Transform Urban Mobility and Road Safety. Delivery Forecast Has Already Been Established.
The city of Londrina is preparing for a transformation in urban mobility that could radically impact local and metropolitan traffic.
A new bridge, with a total cost of R$ 31 million, promises to ease the routine of drivers crossing the busy interchange of BR-369 with Avenida Jockey Clube.
The location is known for intense congestion and accidents that have long harmed traffic in the area and limited road safety for those accessing the PUC Londrina campus.

But how does this construction promise to redesign the mobility of one of the most dynamic regions of Paraná?
The Investment and Its Structuring: A Strategic Project
According to the Department of Highways of Paraná (DER/PR), an agency of the Secretariat of Infrastructure and Logistics (SEIL), the work includes not only the construction of the bridge but also a series of road and urban modifications to optimize the use of space.
The project involves R$ 31,069,120.00 for foundations and other complex structures. The aim is to solve chronic flow and safety issues.
According to DER/PR, current traffic is diverted to marginal roads and a roundabout while the demolition of the federal highway BR-369 takes place.
From this point, the team has already started the foundation work, followed by the installation of pillars and consoles, essential components to support the central beams and the prestressed solid slabs that will ensure stability and durability to the structure.

Foundations, Pillars, and Road Safety
With the advancement of the foundations, the pillars and consoles are being concreted.
These structures, according to civil engineering specialists, are essential to maintain safety and support the upper infrastructure of the bridge.
At the same time, teams began implementing containment of the structure to ensure the stability of the slope of the new lanes of BR-369, a crucial factor to allow the elevation of the roads leading to the new main lane.
The circulation will be divided to optimize flow and ensure safety for those using the highway.
Metropolitan and long-distance traffic will use the upper part, while local traffic will be able to use the lower passage, where two roundabouts will be implemented.
These roundabouts will allow turning to access or cross the highway safely.
Mobility and Accessibility for Pedestrians and Bicyclists
In addition to improvements in vehicle traffic, the project includes concrete sidewalks, horizontal and vertical signage, in addition to a public lighting system.
These elements aim to promote safety and accessibility for both pedestrians and cyclists circulating in the vicinity.
The improvement also includes landscaping, an investment in beautifying the area that should benefit the surroundings of the PUC Londrina university, one of the busiest places in Londrina.
As highlighted by DER/PR, the construction of these sidewalks and other accessibility resources aims to make access to university services and nearby areas safer and more adequate.
Delivery Forecast and Climatic Factors
Expectations point to delivery in the first semester of next year, although weather conditions may impact the progress of the work.
According to DER/PR, rains are a relevant factor for construction in Paraná soil, which already experiences periods of high humidity at certain times of the year.
The work is part of a set of strategic measures by the state government to improve road infrastructure and reduce accident rates on BR-369.
Londrina, which suffers from the pressure of increasing traffic, will be the biggest beneficiary of this project, according to traffic and urban engineering specialists.
With a project of over R$ 31 million underway, do you think Londrina will really have an infrastructure capable of alleviating traffic and reducing accidents?

O estado do Paraná logo logo sera equiparado a São Paulo.
