However, the news that scares consumers the most is the price increase for the entry-level version, which now approaches R$ 90,000. For those who don’t know, it has been 14 years since the Fox was discontinued and the Polo came as its replacement. Now, simply put, this new Polo comes to rival the Kwid, which is also in the hatch category.
According to data from the automaker, with the arrival of the 2025 lineup, the brand adjusted the prices of all versions of the Volkswagen Polo. As a result, the increases ranged from R$ 1,300 to R$ 2,300. The entry-level version of Volkswagen’s popular car, the Polo Track, the most popular in the lineup, saw an increase of R$ 1,300, reaching R$ 89,290.

The top version of Volkswagen’s car is the GTS, which features a 1.4 TSI engine with 150 horsepower and 25.5 kgfm of torque on both ethanol and gasoline. This version includes front seats with the GTS logo embroidered, multifunction camera, fatigue detector, black painted door handles and mirrors, among other details.
Volkswagen Polo Takes The Sales Lead In The First Quarter
The Volkswagen car was the best-selling new vehicle in the first quarter of 2024, according to data released by the National Federation of Automotive Vehicle Distribution (Fenabrave). In the period from January to March, 27,263 units of the Volkswagen popular car were registered. The Fiat Strada, which led the list of best sellers from 2021 to 2023, sold 26,580 units in the first three months of the year.
It is worth mentioning that Brazilians have already purchased more than 500,000 new cars in 2024. The country recorded 514,517 new registrations in the first quarter of this year, an increase of 9.1% compared to the same period in 2023.
