VOLVO's new electric SUV has just been launched with a range of up to 600 km. Meet the EX90 SUV, which promises to revolutionize the automotive market with its unique design and great performance.
The Volvo EX90 is the Swedish automaker’s newest electric SUV that marks a new chapter in its journey towards an electric future. This new Volvo SUV is not just an update of the XC90, but a complete transformation, designed to embrace sustainable mobility without losing the DNA that conquered families around the world.
Volvo EX90’s unique new design impresses buyers
The first contact with the EX90 is visual, and it certainly knows how to impress. Its generous dimensions of 5,03 meters in length, 1,96 m in width and 1,74 m in height give it a striking presence. However, what really catches the eye is how the brand managed to balance this imposing electric SUV with clean and elegant lines, resulting in a timeless style.
The front of Volvo's new SUV is dominated by the Thor's hammer shaped headlights, Volvo's latest styling signature, now with LED animation that seems to bring the model to life. This animation is not only digital, but also physical as it splits for the high beam to emerge from behind the assembly.
- Volkswagen Golf with a 1.0 engine? Yes, it exists and promises to surprise with efficiency, economy and performance that leaves many 1.6s behind!
- New popular car costing R$65 is a success, surpassing Onix, Argo, Kwid and others to become the cheapest new car in Brazil in November
- Toyota SW4, watch out: If you thought you already knew the pinnacle of SUVs, it's because you haven't heard about the 2025 Mitsubishi Pajero Legend yet.
- Toyota Yaris and Honda City 2025: which is the best hatchback for you?
The Volvo EX90's front grille is completely closed, a striking style that “reminds” us that this is a 100% electric vehicle, eliminating the need for the large air intakes of models with combustion engines.
At the rear, the electric SUV's taillights are connected to the trunk lid, but they also have the traditional integrated lights that run up the pillar. This reinforces the impression of an even wider SUV, especially in the versions with 22-inch wheels.
Volvo EX90 delivers 517 horsepower
The Twin Motor Performance version delivers 517 hp and 92,8 kgfm of torque, and the result is a smooth and powerful drive. Even in urban situations, Volvo's new SUV handles with agility. The immediate torque provided by the two electric motors, one on each axle, makes maneuvering and overtaking easy and effortless.
Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 4,8 seconds, according to Volvo figures, is worthy of a sports car, and the all-wheel drive with torque vectoring offers impressive stability on curves.
With a 111 kWh battery, the Volvo EX90 offers a range of up to 600 km, according to WLTP certification. However, Inmetro approval should reduce the official range to around 470 km, which is still a great number for an electric SUV of this size.
As for recharging, Volvo's new SUV is compatible with fast chargers of up to 250 kW, which allows the battery to be charged from 10% to 80% in approximately 30 minutes.
The interior of the new electric SUV is minimalist and packed with technology
If the exterior is already impressive, the interior of the Volvo EX90 draws attention for its sophistication and minimalism. The company didn't skimp and added a digital instrument panel that doubles its function as the head-up display. If this is the biggest criticism of the younger EX30, the story is completely different with the EX90.
When you open the door, you can see a clean and spacious environment. The materials used are of high quality, combining soft textures and neutral tones, typical of Scandinavian design. One of the most striking features of Volvo's new SUV is the almost complete absence of buttons. Volvo chose to reduce the number of physical controls to a minimum, leaving the dashboard clean and organized.
