Payment of 13th Salary from INSS Will Be Made in April and May for Retirees and Pensioners. See Who Is Entitled, How the Value Will Be, and How to Check the Dates.
President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva signed a decree that advances the payment of the 13th salary for retirees and pensioners from INSS. For this reason, millions of Brazilians will receive the benefit earlier this year. In addition, the decision was published in the Official Gazette of the Union on April 3, 2025.
Since then, the government has emphasized that the measure aims to strengthen the economy. At the same time, it also seeks to provide immediate financial support to beneficiaries of Social Security.
Therefore, the payment will occur in two installments: the first in April and the second in May, according to the official INSS calendar.

According to the website G1, the government will pay the first installment between April 24 and May 8, following the final number of the benefit. The second installment will be deposited in accounts between May 24 and June 7.
Thus, Lula reaffirms his commitment to public policies aimed at social protection.
Beneficiaries of INSS Will Be Positively Impacted
According to the Ministry of Social Security, the advanced 13th salary will include retirees, pensioners, as well as beneficiaries of temporary incapacity assistance and maternity leave.
Therefore, those who started receiving after January 2025 will be entitled to the proportional amount. On the other hand, those who have been receiving since the beginning of the year will have access to the full amount.
As announced, the first installment will be paid along with the April benefit. Thus, it will correspond to 50% of the total amount, with no deductions applied.
The second installment, scheduled for May, will include legal deductions, such as the Income Tax, when applicable.
In this way, the advanced payment ensures more tranquility and predictability in the budget of the insured.
Anticipation of 13th as Economic Strategy
In addition to benefiting retirees directly, the anticipation serves as a tool to stimulate the economy. According to government data published on the Agência Brasil website in 2024, the previous measure generated R$ 62.6 billion, benefiting around 30 million people.
Consequently, commerce and services are preparing for an increase in demand, especially in regions with a higher concentration of retirees.
At the same time, the initiative strengthens the purchasing power of families. Thus, it also favors small businesses and boosts local consumption.
Therefore, the expected outcomes include the growth of the informal economy and increased cash flow in strategic sectors.
Finally, it is worth noting that this measure contributes to tax revenue without generating additional fiscal impact.
Consultation and Official Calendar of INSS
To facilitate monitoring, beneficiaries can check the 2025 13th Salary Calendar for INSS on the website meu.inss.gov.br. Additionally, the Meu INSS app provides quick access to payment information.
If necessary, it is also possible to call the central 135, which is available throughout the country.
Regarding the schedule, it is defined based on the final number of the benefit (without the digit). Therefore, it is important to check the information in advance.
In this way, the insured avoid surprises and can better organize themselves financially.
Moreover, those who receive up to a minimum wage or above should follow the same consultation criteria.
